Who We Are

Yurts for You is a family-owned and operated business born from our love for yurts. We first discovered yurts when looking for a new, affordable, sustainable and comfortable way of living. We were amazed by the beauty, simplicity and versatility of these round-shaped dwellings that nomadic people have used for centuries. We decided to build our own yurt frames.

We soon realized there was a growing demand for yurts in New Zealand as more and more people were looking for alternative housing options that suited their needs and preferences. We decided to share our passion and expertise with others. We started producing our yurts in cooperation with Tasman Canvas, a local company making quality yurts since 1988. We also learned from the best practices of other yurt manufacturers worldwide. We incorporated modern features and designs into our yurts.

In 2023, we took over the sales from Tasman Canvas and became the sole distributor of their yurts in New Zealand. We are proud to continue our partnership and offer our customers the country's most extensive, highest quality, locally produced yurts. We have a range of sizes and options to choose from, and we can customize our yurts to suit any purpose and location.
